Welcome to MacsDatingSite. I’m Jim McMenamin, but all of my friends call me Mac. That should take some of the mystery out of how I chose the name of this site. Pretty inventive on my end, huh? Anyway, I’m glad you were able to stop by.
I put this blog together in the hopes that I may be able to help others out who are looking to get started in online dating.
I remember when I first started a few years ago how overwhelmed I was with the whole experience. I wasn’t really sure where to go and what exactly to do once I got there. It would have been great if someone had laid out a step-by-step game plan for me to follow.
The online dating process sounds simple, doesn’t it? Just go online, “google” a free dating site, register, and choose from the tons of available singles. Easy enough, right?
If you’ve recently tried a free service (either a chat room or free dating site), you know it’s not that simple.
The quality of traffic on those sites is terrible. I dare say it’s a rare event to find an actual human on one of them. Every time I’m contacted it seems like the profile I’m dealing with is an automated robot that is hoping to take me to some sort of paid webcam site. Talk about annoying.
After wasting a fair amount of my time on free services, I decided to bite the bullet and paid to join a reputable online dating service. I’m a cheapskate by nature, but let me tell you, what a great decision it was for me to take that route.
